How long does therapy last?
Most therapy lasts for about 8 – 12 sessions.In some cases, however, therapy may last longer.
Will my insurance cover your service?
As a licensed psychologist, Dr. Alexander’s services are covered by many PPO and POS plans as an out-of-network provider. His policy is to collect a full fee at the end of each session and provide clients with a detailed receipt to be filed with their insurance company for reimbursement when requested. Please check with your insurance provider to determine your out-of-network benefits for a licensed practicing psychologist.
What is your fee?
Dr. Alexander’s current fee rate is $250 per hour for individual, marital therapy and family therapy. His current rate for executive coaching is $375 per hour.
How often will I have to come?
Generally speaking, it is best to start with weekly sessions. After progress is made, sessions generally become less frequent.
Will my confidentiality be protected?
All client files are kept in a locked box in Dr. Alexander’s office. Dr. Alexander will speak with no one about your treatment without your permission.
Should I bring family members?
Ideally, therapy should include all family members who are part of the problem.
Where are you located?
Dr. Alexander practices in Charlotte, North Carolina. His office is in Charlotte’s historic Dilworth neighborhood and is easily accessible from other parts of the city. He currently offers both Zoom sessions and in-person sessions at his home office.
What hours do you work?
Dr. Alexander offers convenient morning and afternoon weekday appointments. His office is closed Monday mornings and Friday afternoons.
Can I contact you via e-mail?
For your own privacy and confidentiality, it is advised that you limit out-of-session contact with Dr. Alexander to phone calls. He has 24 hour voice mail service and generally returns all phone calls within the day. He is also available via E-mail at [email protected] for inquiries and scheduling requests.
